Main Focus
I am driven by the broader goal of understanding the underlying principles of intelligence from the brain—how neural systems give rise to flexible, goal-directed behavior. As a step toward this, I am exploring the frontoparietal brain network, under Dr Romy Lorenz, which plays a key role in cognitive control and adaptability. Despite its importance, the precise causal mechanisms governing its function remain unclear. I aim to use machine learning and computational modelling to build testable models and analyse its dynamics to find causal explanations of how it supports higher-order cognition.
