Forschungsinteressen
My research focuses on understanding neural mechanisms of brain states under anesthesia. I investigate how neural oscillations are coupled to pupil size fluctuations depending on the underlying brain state by examining the lateral hypothalamus through multimodal neuroimaging methods (fMRI, electrophysiology, pupillometry, GCaMP-mediated fiber photometry, optogenetics).
